Praised as a “hochkultivierter Sopran,” Berlin-based Chinese sopranoXÏA Wang opened the2025/26 seasonwith her house and role debut atOper Wuppertalas Berta in Rossini’sIl barbiere di Siviglia. In February, she appeared as Zerlina inDon Giovanni(Slam Concert) at Theater Erfurt. In March, she made her debut as Konstanzein Die Entführung aus dem Serailwith the Junges Musiktheater Weimar. In May, she will perform as Henrietta Wong inHarvey Milk Reimaginedat Theater für Niedersachsen. This summer, she will also appear as Tingeli in Der Bärbeiß at theDomStufen-FestspieleinErfurt. In addition to her operatic engagements, she has presented a series ofBellini concertsatPalais Lichtenau, Potsdam, and Schloss Wernstein, and will also take part in Opera Gala concerts with the Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt this summer.

In the 2024/25 season, XÏA performed both Pamina and Papagena in Die Zauberflöte(Poetry Concert) atTheater Erfurt, as well as in opera and operetta concerts with theThüringer Symphoniker. She also appeared in the Advent Calendar Concert and A Tribute to Bellini concert at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
